During Ramadan, schools in Punjab have revised their timings, with single shift schools operating from 8:30am to 1pm on most days and 8:30am to 12:30pm on Fridays. Second shift schools will run from 1pm to 4pm. Additionally, private schools in Lahore have also adjusted their timings. The observance of Ramadan in Pakistan includes the sighting of the Ramadan moon, the first Roza being observed nationwide, and the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting to determine the start of Ramadan.
